Punjab & Sind Bank invites applications for the post of Specialist Officers from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Specialist Officers conducted by IBPS in March 2012, hold a valid Score card issued by IBPS and meet the prescribed eligibility criteria:
The Bank also invites applications for:
i) Posts of Chartered Accountants in MMG Scale –II & III from Indian citizens, who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed below.

Note:
  1. Interviews will start tentatively from 11.06.2012 in phases and Call Letter can be downloaded from our website 10 days before the date of interview.
  2. Candidates are requested to carry all the required original documents including IBPS Score Card and duly attested photo copies to be produced before interview at the interview centre.

IBPS CWE RRB 2012: Eligibilty Details and Exam Pattern Announced !

The Government of India had approved the IBPS and given the responsibility for conducting the Common Written Exam (CWE) for Regional Rural Banks (RRB).CWE is a Common Written Exam is which the IBPS conducts a written test on the behalf of participating banks.It is expected that approximately 84 Regional Rural Banks will participate in the Recruitment Drive.

The major reason as to why the IBPS had been given responsibility to conduct CWE for RRB's is that there had been no hiring in these banks since 1990.These banks are facing shortage of employees due to the retirement of Employees and  opening of new bank branches.

National Bank for Rural and Agricultural Development (NABARD)  had been given the responsibility to supervise the whole recruitment process like Publishing the Advt, Announcing the Eligibility Criteria Selection Procedure etc

How it Works ?


The Selection procedure for RRB's is similar to that of Public Sector banks.If you have appeared for IBPS CWE for PO' s and Clerk's in the Public Sector banks, then you must know the Selection Procedure.But if it is first time, that you are applying for IBPS Exam, then its better to go through some points given below:

1) First, the IBPS will invite applications from Eligible candidates to participate in CWE for RRB;s.The notification to this effect will be made available on the IBPS  and NABARD' Website and published in the Employment News paper.

2) Interested candidates satisfying the IBPS Eligibility criteria can then apply for IBPS CWE for RRB by submitting the Online application.

3) The IBPS will conduct the Written Exam on the specified date and the results will be declared in a span of 2-3 months.

4) Soon after the results, successful candidates will be issued score cards based on which they can apply for Jobs in Regional Rural Banks.

5) After the Declaration of results, RRB's will invite applications from the successful students.These successful students will then be called for the Interview.The Final Selection will be done by adding the CWE marks and Interview marks taken together.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS CWE for RRB's


NABARD had just released the the eligibility criteria for Common Written Exam for Clerk and Probationary Officers.

Students who wish to apply for Clerk and PO Jobs in Regional Rural banks will have to satisfy the below mentioned eligibility criteria.

Age Limit: Min: 18 years and Max: 28 years.

Educational Qualifications : A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university of India.

Note: 

1) The eligibility criteria is same for Clerks as well as PO's.
2) Students must note that merely satisfying the IBPS Eligibility criteria doe snot entitle you for a job in RRB's . You will have to satisfy each bank's eligibility criteria for applying in that particular banks.
3) Knowledge of Local language is essential.

Application Fees: Those who wish to appear in the IBPS CWE for RRB's will have to deposit the below mentioned application fees:

For Clerks: Rs 50 (For SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates) and Rs 350 (For Others)

For Officers: Rs 50 (For SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates) and Rs 450 (For Others)

Bank of Maharashtra Shortlists for PO Recruitment Interviews

In relation to the advertisement issued by Bank of Maharashtra (BOM) to recruit 457 Officers, applicants with the following eligibility criteria were asked to register online:
  • Should have passed in any degree
  • Sectional score of 24 (Gen) or 21(others) in IBPS common exam
There was no mention of minimum TWS score & hence all scorecards holders were eligible to apply for this BOM recruitment.

Results:

Similar to previous banks, BOM also had mentioned about calling only those who rank in the order of merit in the ratio of 1:3.
As per it, the bank has shortlisted 1981 candidates.You can download the complete doc containing the names,roll no. details of centre etc from their website here (.xlsx file)
Interviews are to happen from June 4 to 8, 2012.The link to print your call letters is already active here from which prints have to be taken.

Appointment:

Coming to the Personal interview (PI) process,
  • Total marks is 50 & the minimum to qualify is 50% (Gen) & 45% for others
  • Candidates not qualifying in PI will not be considered for final selection
A final merit list would be prepared with the CWE & Interview marks, ranked in descending order (top to bottom)

Cutoffs?
Bank of Maharashtra has not revealed the cutoffs fixed to call for interview based on categories.But since the vacancies are low, TWS scores may be high.

Canara Bank 2000 PO Recruitment – Final Results Out!!


congratulations for bank job The final results are out for Canara Bank`s PO recruitment project 2012.For the past few days, we are seeing some key developments in the banking recruitment space with public banks completing their hiring process for PO positions.With clerical & specialist officers requirements in pipeline, HRs may be trying to fastrack the entire process.

Canara Bank had advertised to appoint 2000 Probationary officers & applications were sought from graduates with 60% marks.

Candidates were shortlisted based on their TWS scores & called for Interview held from April 16th onwards.

Who are Appointed?

Following the completion of GD & Interview, Canara bank has finalized the provisional list by selecting 1984 candidates found eligible for appointment as POs.See the below graphic for further understanding,

The total marks for final list was 100 marks & scores would given weightage in order: 50% CWE TWS + 20% GD + 30% Interview.

Scoring Methods:

While detailed info of scores secured by each applicant would be made available on bank`s website in the coming days, some key statistics have been made public.

Probation

Appointees selected for PO position have to deposit Rs.25,000 as security deposit agreeing to serve the bank for minimum 2 years.This amount would be forfeited incase you decide to quit before the end of 2 yrs.

Since the probationary period is also 24 months, candidates have to stay with Canara bank till the end of probation to avoid forfeiture of deposit.

Bank of India Officers Recruitment – for North East Vacancies


bank-of-india-logo Bank of India has published a notification for recruitment of officers in North east states.BOI, one of India`s largest public sector bank was nationalised in the year 1969.The bank is spread across the country with over 3100 branches & 48 zonal offices, apart from 29 foreign branches.

This special recruitment project 2012-13 from Bank of India is only for vacancies in North East states - Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim & Tripura.

Candidates from other states can also apply but initial posting would be at the above said places only.

Position & Vacancies:

General Banking Officer (scale I) – 47 posts (Gen –21, OBC – 9, SC – 14, ST – 3)

Dates:

Online application registration from May 25 to June 7, 2012
Interviews could be held during July/Aug 2012

Eligibility:

If you are looking to apply, it is necessary to posses the following conditions,
  • Should be 21 – 30 yrs of age, as on 1.07.2011 
  • Must have completed graduation from a recog. university
  • To have secured,
      • Section-wise score of 24 (gen) or 21 (SC/ST/OBC/PWD)

Selection:

From the applications received, Bank of India would shortlist only those candidates in the ratio of 1:3 & those who and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit.

While the total marks for Interview shall be 100 marks, minimum qualifying is 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC)

  

Applications:

Banks had agreed to lower the application fees in a recent meeting.Accordingly Bank of India seems to have implemented as the fee is fixed at Rs.100 (Gen/OBC) & Rs.20(SC/ST)
  • After making the payment with the appropriate challan at any Bank of India branches before June 7, head over to www.bankofindia.com
  • Fill in the online application by logging with your IBPS exam details
  • Submit the form & remember to take a print of the generated application that has to be produced at the time of Interview

Dena Bank Clerk Recruitment – Cutoffs fixed for Interview

Bank of Baroda & Allahabad Bank to announce their prospective list of people selected for appointment as PO.
Just last week, UCO bank along with Bank of India came out with their final results.With clerical recruitment process in the offing, banks may be looking to wrap up PO activity as soon as possible.

Bank of Baroda Results

One of the most expected notification, Bank of Baroda called for applications from IBPS CWE qualified candidates to fill 600 probationary officer vacancies in the month of February 2012.

BOB followed it up by calling 2900 candidates for interviews that were held from April 16 to 23.The cutoffs fixed were 174 (gen),167 (OBC) were one of the highest till now.Exactly a month later, the bank has finalized the persons found eligible for the post of PO.

Confirm joining:
Similar to UCO bank, Bank of Baroda has also asked selected candidates to confirm by submitting the joining date (June 25 or July 23) on their website from May 23 – 25.

Allahabad Bank Final Results

In February 2012, Allahabad Bank notified recruitment of 1600 PO for graduates possessing valid IBPS scorecards.The minimum tws score was fixed at 125 for Gen. category & 112 for others.

Later in the month of March, interviews sessions were announced to be conducted for shortlisted applicants from April 16.The cutoffs stood at 166 (gen) & 162 (OBC) but the no. of people who were invited was not available.

Based on the performance of candidates in CWE & interviews, a merit list has been prepared ranking the top scorers.

Reporting on May 3:
According to the official list made public today by the bank it has been specified as,
Letters initiating selection have already been dispatched to respective people & they will have to report on May 31st at the given venue for completing joining formalities.

Why Candidates are Showing Fail When The Got The Above marks from cutoff in  Specialist Officer. 

According to the director of IBPS only 4000 vacancy are there so the cutoff have been high. So there if there is 24 marks are the passing marks and one more thing is IBPS was not took the 24x4=96 marks as a qualify.It takes 24x5=120 marks far qualifying. So the candidates are seeing not qualify after getting the cutoff marks.
